Brand Planner and Strategist
Southeast Wisconsin
Milwaukee, WI

SRH is seeking an experienced Brand Planner & Strategist to create brand decks and develop marketing strategies for a wide breadth of clients from health & wellness b2b to frozen pizza CPG.


Three crucial jobs for agency:

  1. Build brands. Work directly with clients and collaborate with our researchers and accounts teams to gather insights and develop brand decks, including positioning statements, mission, vision, values, reasons to believe and initial creative direction.
  2. Write plans. Work with accounts, digital and creative teams to develop strategic plans, including goals, strategies, tactics, channels, media and budgets.
  3. Report & Adjust. Report results to internal and client teams and lead adjustments.

Proven Skills & Experience

You’ve done a good portion of this exact work before. Preferably, you’re currently doing it every day and your tools are sharp, as we’re looking for a teammate who can make an immediate impact.


  • Five or more years of creative agency experience
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • BONUS client-side experience—working on corporate marketing team


You understand our client’s business goals, aspirations and their target markets. You develop insightful, innovative strategies and plans using killer data and insights, all within a client’s desired budget. You collaborate with our Accounts and Digital departments to ensure plans will be executable on time and on budget. You also collaborate with our New Business team to bring in new clients using your expertise and insights.

  • Have a deep understanding of our clients, their audiences and the appropriate mix of channels
  • Participate in new business pitches and develop elements of Proposals and RFPs
  • Lead competitive analysis and other research aspects as identified
  • Strategic recommendations on how to segment clients’ marketing budgets
  • Work with account, project management and digital departments to develop execution budgets
  • Develop strong marketing communication plans that either clients or SRH could activate
  • Identify and share key insights on industry trends, breakthroughs with clients and SRH team members
  • Develop and present to stakeholders a compelling story articulating the business problem, outlining correspondence solutions, and framing outcomes
  • Independently translate a project into a high-level work plan
  • Actively define client challenges and identify core issues
  • Convert research findings into actionable and value-driving insights
  • Create and defend a compelling, fact-based story related to the strategies and plans you’ve developed
  • Identify and be accountable for client success metrics
  • Proactively provide analysis, recommendations, and rationale for future marketing campaigns
