The Job

The Business Communication Specialist will deliver innovative and effective solutions that drive awareness, interest, desire and action around Ace’s strategic initiatives. Working closely with the broader Corporate Communications team and key business partners, this person will lead the planning, development and execution of comprehensive communication campaigns targeting Ace retailers and employees.

What you’ll do

Develop trusted partnerships with people at all levels of the organization, provide strategic counsel to assigned business partners and use professional expertise to advise on the best method and form of communication

Lead content development for key initiatives and create various forms of communications that include but are not limited to:

  • Drafting intranet articles
  • Distributing e-newsletters
  • Directing video production
  • Overseeing live stream events
  • Facilitating podcasts
  • Guiding the creation of infographics

Influence and execute multi-pronged communication strategies for a variety of initiatives to inform Ace retailers and drive adoption of key business programs

Measure the effectiveness of communications activities and use data (page views, video views, open rates, click rates, etc.) / feedback to enhance future campaigns

As a member of the Corporate Communications team, you may be asked to fulfill other duties to assist team members with employee communications, events, video recordings and other core communication functions

What you will need:

Knowledge, Experience, and Competencies:

  • At least 3 years of experience in marketing or corporate communications 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, English or related field 
  • Excellent verbal communication skills 
  • Outstanding writing abilities 
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Previous experience developing and executing strategic communications plans 
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and interact with senior level executives 
  • Desire to take initiative, work independently, solve problems and build strong working relationships 
  • Retail/Wholesale business experience a plus
