The individual is expected to be well connected and capable of identifying, pursuing and winning strategic and tactical new business opportunities. They must have the heart of a storyteller. The business development manager will be able to use their current depth of knowledge of digital and offline marketing, along with a quickly-acquired knowledge of agency history, case studies, current business and strategic direction. The manager will report to the Chief Growth Officer and will have close working relationships with all department directors.

  • Helping define and lead new business strategy tailored to the needs of the agency 
  • Proactively initiate new business prospects 
  • Follow up on new business leads to determine viability 
  • Further define new business platforms and processes including Hiebing.com, the capabilities presentation, new business templates, the database and more 
  • Contribute to new business materials such as case studies, bios, etc. 
  • Leverage existing partnerships and create new ones 
  • Manage the content marketing program including activities across Hiebing.com, social media platforms, webinars, speaking engagements, earned media and more 
  • Lead new business pitches and presentations
  • At least 7 years of experience, preferably within an agency or creative services business 
  • Solid track record of developing successful relationships 
  • Confirmed and proven record of closing major accounts 
  • A passion for storytelling 
  • Ability to read, write, analyze and interpret information from a variety of sources 
  • Ability to drill into the details of very complex project 
  • Ability to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future
