The Business Development Representative, Energy Efficiency Group is responsible for prospecting, qualifying, building relationships, presenting our services, and obtaining sales from new customers. The ideal candidate must be proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite, must possess a strong knowledge of public relations and advertising principles, and basic knowledge of electrical components and/or applications preferred.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Cross-sells and up-sells our services to potential customers. 
  • Employs a variety of methods and sources to find and research prospective customers. 
  • Calls on and/or meets with and qualifies customers for appropriate business and/or vertical units to better understand their needs and possible solutions. 
  • Updates and maintains sales process in CRM software. 
  • Introduces project managers/estimators to better serve customer needs, as appropriate. 
  • Performs lighting audits (lighting business development position only). 
  • Works with project managers/estimators to establish new markets for lighting projects (lighting business development position only). 
  • Presents proposals to customers with Project Manager(s) and/or other specialist(s). 
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED 
  • Experience: 5 years of Business to Business sales experience
