The Business/System Analyst is responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and implementing technology solutions to meet the business needs of GMR Marketing. He/she is responsible for working with, and becoming an expert on, existing and new business processes and software applications. This position will work with various departments of the company with an emphasis on financial and human resources processes and software applications.

Documenting user requirements for projects, communicating the requirements to developers or vendors, and verifying that the design meets the user requirements

Act as a strategic partner between the user community and the technical applications development staff

Supports end-to-end process testing of applications, end user testing and training

Drive process improvement through business process definition and system alignment

Ensure that administration and user training documentation is maintained

Maintain a visible and active role in assessing user satisfaction and how technology is being used Comply with policies, procedures and controls related to Sarbanes-Oxley or other regulatory frameworks

Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively define and translate business requirements into technical definitions and solutions to meet business requirements

Extensive experience maintaining, enhancing, and implementing financial and human resources applications and business processes

Proficiency in all areas of the system development life cycle and project management

Independent starter with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of personnel

Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive internal information

Ability to present technical information in easily understood terms in both verbal and written form

Solid working knowledge of database concepts and strong SQL language skills

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience is required

Minimum 3-5 years experience working as an analyst on both packaged and custom built solutions

Experience working with Deltek/Costpoint, ADP, IBM Cognos, and/or Hyland OnBase preferred
