Buyer

The buyer roll is a business professional who evaluates previously sourced and negotiated inventory and purchases products within budget and lead time. Working with materials team and production to ensure all deliveries are fulfilled according to company needs and communicating with the supplier to ensure all purchase orders are correct. The goal of a buyer is to increase company productivity, decrease expedited parts, and eliminate manufacturing downtime.

• Work directly with material planners and suppliers on purchasing of Rubber, Metal and Plastic Fabricated Parts and Raw Material 
• Expedite parts as directed by production 
• Monitor all open purchase orders and deliver weekly purchase order reports 
• Handle and track quality issues and work with suppliers for replacements 
• Work with sales on RMAs and availably of parts for sales orders 
• Working with material planners on inventory management 
• Attend daily production meetings and track build schedules for changes 
• Send out monthly forecasts

• Strong professional communication skills 
• Must be able to multi-task and prioritize as needed 
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook 
• Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and organized 
• Be able to work alone and within a team
