POSITION(S) REPORTS TO: VACC Executive Director

POSITION(S) THAT REPORT TO YOU: None

EXEMPT/NON-EXEMPT EMPLOYEE STATUS: Exempt (minimum 37.5 hours/week)

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Manage projects that relate to the VACC certification process and marketing and communication efforts including, but not limited to: assisting candidates seeking certification by exam, organizing conference calls, and meetings. Working in concert with the Executive Director to develop and implement a marketing and communication plan to increase certificants. Support the VACC and Executive Director to help fulfill the goals and mission of the VACC.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES (Minimum of 37.5 hours/week):

  • Handle all certificant phone and email inquiries and requests;
  • Manage the VACC certificant and committee databases;
  • Coordinate logistics for Board conference calls, including agenda/materials, and taking and distributing minutes;
  • Coordinate in-person board and committee meeting logistics including: travel, lodging, catering, and agenda/materials;
  • Attend in-person board meetings and take meeting minutes;
  • Handle invoices and payments, after Executive Director’s signed approval;
  • Maintain systems for use by committees and Board.
  • Develop and implement marketing and communication plans including but not limited to social media, ad placement, reciprocity agreements, etc.
  • Manage office supply inventory and replenish when needed;
  • Work with the VACC committees on various projects/initiatives;
  • Assist VACC with annual elections process including: recommendation and solicitation of nominees and coordinating communication and online balloting;
  • Prepare and submit accreditation applications and reports;
  • Provide backup for the Executive Director when needed;
  • Attend conference tradeshows as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

AMOUNT OF TRAVEL REQUIRED: Approximately 7 days per year.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional experience in related field. 
  • Certification, marketing and communication experience preferred. 
  • Computer proficiency, outstanding organizational and communication skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Lifting 20 – 30 lbs. may occasionally be required
