Position Overview:

A Channel Marketing Intern - Proofreader at Digi-Key will be charged with reviewing, proofing, and editing digital content in a fast-paced email marketing environment. Proofreaders are natural perfectionists, and their personalities lean towards meticulous and thorough work.

Responsibilities: Must be able to...

  • Proofread materials for highlight typographical or grammatical error including but not limited to spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax, usage, consistency, and brand voice. 
  • Review and markup digital communications and correspondence, including but not limited to emails and website text. 
  • Tasked with ensuring the accuracy of content, verifying the accuracy of all referenced links. 
  • Proofreaders also review content with an eye towards campaign, product, or brand consistency. Accordingly, proofreaders are familiar with company-wide work to maintain consistency. 
  • Work autonomously, setting priorities and meeting deadlines 
  • Provide constructive editorial input, and communicate with team members to effectuate consistent, accurate, and high-quality work product. 

Other Typical Tasks May Also Include:

  • Take on additional responsibilities from the Lead Production Associate - Channel Marketing or Marketing Production leadership

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience (Minimum/Essential Qualifications):

  • High School diploma or equivalent and pursuing a college degree in marketing, writing, communications or other related fields
  • Comfortable both writing and editing
  • Computer proficiency with word processing software and ability to learn additional Marketing Technology tools to validate copy
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong reading comprehension and speed
  • Ability track down the appropriate resources and address questions or issues in the copy that might require additional research
  • Expected to manage and prioritize multiple projects at once
