Summary
Provide creative direction, graphic design, copywriting, and delivery of church communications
Foster community through storytelling and invite people to connect with St. Marcus Church in a variety of ways
Description
Attend planning meetings with church communications and production teams
Gather and manage content for weekly church email via MailChimp
Plan and execute weekly church emails and other church-related emails as necessary
Plan and curate content and build relationships through social media Facebook, YouTube, Instagram
Maintain the St. Marcus website and develop plans for improved functionality
Design for print projects such as postcards, flyers, brochures, event invitations, signage
Design for digital communications (emails, social media, slides)
Write clear, compelling, and creative copy for various mediums (emails, social media, website, etc.)
Manage and maintain church center app + planning center
Support special church events as needed (logistics, photography, communications)
Qualifications
Associate's, Bachelor’s degree, or degree in progress in Communications or related field
Understanding of communications and marketing best practices
Knowledge of working with MailChimp and Planning Center a plus
Ability to write and edit creative copy
Familiarity with the Adobe Creative Suite or similar design platforms and a willingness to seek learning opportunities that further develop skills
1-3 years of work experience preferred, and/or strong portfolio of project work
Affinity or experience in a church setting preferred
Photography/video experience a plus
Compensation & Benefits
Part-time, 20-hours a week, pay commensurate with background and experience
