This position is responsible for the development, management, implementation, and evaluation of internal and external communications that positively impact the Agency’s ability to serve people in need, promote agency culture, and increase community awareness and engagement with Catholic Charities.

  • Develop communications and marketing plans to promote the agency and programs to all partners, stakeholders, and fund-raising initiatives through a variety of print, email, website, social media, video, press, and other media. 
  • Direct and oversee media relations strategies and tactics, employing best practices and staying informed on current trends. 
  • Coordinate agency representation and participate in community events. 
  • Seek opportunities to develop strategic, mission-focused events, utilizing appropriate marketing strategies, securing media and event sponsors, etc. 
  • Work with staff to gather content or conduct interviews to develop success stories of our clients, donors, and/or volunteers. 
  • Utilize philanthropic psychology to evaluate donor communications and engagement activities.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field. 
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in communications or marketing preferred. Non-profit fundraising experience in social services strongly preferred. 
  • Ability to use a variety of creative design software, such as Adobe Creative suite, Microsoft Office or Google Suite, and donor database systems. 
  • Successful experience in making cold calls as well as developing cultivation and solicitation strategies.
