NHS is looking for a creative and innovative self starter to join our Communications team as a part-time Communications Associate. The Communications Associate isresponsible for coordinating the communications output within the organization. They will create and deliver email marketing campaigns, social media content, direct mail, collateral materials, and other communications to support fundraising efforts and to demonstrate NHS’ impact within communities served.

Primary Responsibilities include:

Email Marketing:

  • Identify, research, write and edit content to engage with various stakeholders through email marketing. 
  • Help develop and deliver a consistent message for various audiences including existing clients, potential clients, referral sources and partners. 
  • Create and maintain targeted email lists in SalesForce and email marketing platform. 
  • Track and report on email marketing engagement statistics and make recommendations as needed based on performance.

Social Media:

  • Plan and create social media content that is balanced, branded, and engaging across multiple platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn. 
  • Perform research needed to create visuals and copy that helps NHS stay current and relevant in the areas of community development and home-ownership. 
  • Assist at NHS events managing media, live streaming or live tweeting, requiring some evening, early morning and weekend hours. 
  • Track and report on social media engagement statistics and make recommendations as needed based on performance.

Additional Marketing Support:

  • As needed, assist in the creation of materials such as flyers, event postcards, advertisements, info-graphics, etc. 
  • Assist the Communications Manager in collaborating with staff to capture stories that demonstrate our impact, including conducting interviews and writing stories. 
  • Manage inventory of promotional items and order new supplies as necessary.

Performance Measures:

  1. Maintain a high level of satisfaction with Home-ownership and Lending Department with respect to leveraging marketing and communications to meet their needs. 
  2. Maintain a robust social media posting calendar that continues to grow followers and generates greater engagement. 
  3. Expand awareness of NHS products and services with target audiences. 
  4. Increase in growth rate to email database. 
  5. Tracking and growing email marketing KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) (i.e. click through and conversion rate). 
  6. Accurate and timely management of workflow. 
  7. Generating a steady and robust database of stories that demonstrate impact. 
  8. Establishing relationships with internal staff to generate content.

Qualifications include:

  • A 4-year college degree in Marketing, Communications is required or an equivalent combination of education and experience OR an Associate Degree and at least 2 years of relevant work experience. 
  • Familiarity working with Web Content Management Systems, Salesforce CRM, and email marketing systems, preferably Constant Contact or MailChimp. 
  • Advanced skill-level working with social media platforms such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. 
  • Advanced skill-level using MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook). 
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and across various teams and departments to meet performance objectives. 
  • Demonstrated ability to trouble–shoot, resolve problems and manage special assignments. 
  • Working knowledge of graphic design tools; Adobe Creative software a plus.

Salary Range: $20.0000 To 23.0000 (USD) Hourly.
