Write, edit and design copy for newsletters and postcards. Assist with writing and editing for Rural Route. Oversee the content and distribution of the Leader Letter and the marketbasket survey. Create and send Ag Newswire. Assist in editing and/or designing other promotional pieces and media releases. Assist in maintaining the organization’s website.

  • Work with the nine district coordinators to coordinate the editing, layout and printing of Farm Bureau newsletters through the County Services Program (55 counties enrolled, 27 issues per year).
  • Assist in designing postcards for county, YFA and Promotion and Education events.
  • Work with WFBF President to develop, edit and send county leader communication piece via email.
  • Write, edit and send media releases.
  • Maintain the organization’s website by keeping county Farm Bureau and other webpages up to date.
  • Write and edit content for Rural Route.
  • Create and send Wisconsin Farm Bureau’s weekly email Ag Newswire and maintain distribution list.
  • Help create and achieve strategic goals to progress the WFBF PR department. Assume other duties as requested by the Executive Director of Public Relations.
  • Have the ability to proactively work on multiple projects simultaneously and write and edit diverse content.
  • Position requires independent work and creative skills.
  • Must possess fluent written and verbal communications skills, with high attention to grammar and written presentation.
  • Must be familiar with office programs such as Microsoft Word, InDesign, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with experience in an office environment.
  • Agricultural background is not required but is highly recommended.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Starting salary range of $50,000-$60,000/yr paid on a bi-weekly basis.  Salary commensurate with experience. Complete benefit package including a matching 401(k) plan.
