Position Details

Communications Coordinator
Southeast Wisconsin
Milwaukee, WI

This highly creative and detail-oriented individual develops and implements external communications that support firm strategic goals, increase awareness, build strong brand equity, and align us to win new work. As an integral part of the Marketing Team, you’ll help shape our communications strategies and play an active role in evolving our brands and marketing channels.

  • Support key communications initiatives including project storytelling, crafting of proposal narratives, creating award submissions, and developing messaging for various marketing materials. 
  • Help set our Communications strategy and develop plans to implement it. 
  • Identify opportunities for and assist subject matter experts in the development and authoring of thought leadership articles. 
  • Develop and execute social media content and campaigns that achieve firm goals and incorporate best practices. Explore new ideas, including creative concepts and approaches.
  • Develop and distribute press releases, media alerts and proactive pitches to media. 
  • Create and edit images and video for social media, firm websites, and a variety of marketing materials. 
  • Assist in maintaining firm websites including case studies, articles, and press releases. 
  • Track and measure communications initiatives, provide regular reports, and identify trends and opportunities for improvement and actionable recommendations for application. 
  • Help drive process to ensure the most efficient procedures and protocols are in place.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of professional marketing/communications experience. 
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and MS Office Suite.
  • Experience with WordPress is a plus. 
  • Marketing communications experience within the architecture, engineering, construction (AEC) industry or another professional services environment preferred. 
  • Excellent writing and editing skills and the ability to create compelling, clear and concise content. 
  • A proactive self-starter who is able to plan, prioritize and multitask; manage and adhere to multiple, concurrent deadlines and in a fast-paced environment, and work cross-functionally to accomplish results. 
  • Enthusiastic and collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.
