Communications Intern

This internship provides direct experience on a variety of client projects across industries. The result is a body of work that demonstrates your social media, design and overall communications abilities.

• Ghost-writing blog posts, social media communications and content calendar
• Assist with Athena’s monthly newsletter
• Provide social media management and support 
• Drafting press releases, pitching to media, and follow-up
• Tracking interest stories as they relate to client’s social media and communications strategy

• Intern must to dependable and have a strong desire to learn. 
• Candidates should bring excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to follow-up and ask questions. 
• Applicants should have strong writing skills, grammar and AP style, as well as a solid understanding of trends in marketing and social media. 
• Intern should be able to represent Athena and clients in a positive and professional way. 
• Demonstrated knowledge and skill of graphic design is a requirement.
