The Boeing Company is looking for a Communications Manager: Global Corporate Advertising based out of Chicago, Illinois. This position has been identified as a virtual opportunity and does not require applicants to live in Chicago, Illinois, USA.

As a leader in the Channels, Advertising and Brand Management team within Communications Management Services, this position will oversee a team of high-performing specialists responsible for developing and executing global strategies and campaigns for Boeing’s corporate and talent attraction advertising. This position will report into the Director, Channels, Advertising and Brand Management team. In addition to aligning Corporate and Talent Attraction Advertising with business priorities and strengthening Boeing’s overall reputation, this role will manage global relationships with internal and external agencies and strategic partners.

The successful candidate will have a deep knowledge in all aspects of:

  • People management 
  • Stakeholder partnership 
  • Budget accountability 
  • Advertising strategy, creative development and production 
  • Omni-channel experience (Digital, broadcast, print, social, sponsorships, etc.) 
  • Advertising media planning, buying and optimization 
  • Agency relationship management including contract structures 
  • Brand strategy, positioning development and architecture management

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead development of the annual long range business plan and management of the team to execute on the plan while applying our values 
  • Oversee strategy plan development and implementation, providing input and counsel regarding global advertising campaign and media strategies 
  • Management of corporate and talent attraction advertising budgets, including oversight on billing processes and planning 
  • Maintain consistent Boeing brand identity across programs and channels while adapting to varying requirements and priorities across the enterprise 
  • Engage and oversee advertising agency and business partners on strategy, creative development, production and optimization 
  • Proactively engage with communications and HR leaders on planning and performance 
  • Lead global talent attraction program in support of company’s talent goals & objectives. Support emergent & growing hiring requirements while driving broader talent targeting into company integrated plans & enhancing company reputation as a prospective employer.
  • Measure and document paid media impact and drive continuous improvement in content and placement 
  • Drive integrated marketing approach and integration of campaigns, media buys, sponsorship activation and processes across communications leadership 
  • Establishing streamlined processes and incorporating best practices 
  • Partnering with brand manager to align research strategy and recommend actions based on findings 
  • Ensuring adherence to brand identity standards Working in fast-paced environment 
  • Drive knowledge transfer and collaboration within and across team and with agency partners 
  • Strengthen team performance to individual and team goals and objectives

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience planning and executing long-term brand positioning strategies with a high ROI across channels and investments 
  • Experience managing a multi-million dollar budget that includes media planning and buying

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Ten or more years of experience in the development and production of multi-media advertising or marketing communication materials and content (Digital, broadcast, print, social, sponsorships, etc.) 
  • 5 or more years of employee management experience 
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Business, Advertising, Marketing and/or Communications 
  • Experience with world-class marketing and branding activities in a global industrial enterprise requiring strong collaboration skills 
  • Experience with building positive relationships 
  • Advertising Account Management experience preferred 
  • Dynamic leader with an ability to make a strong impact on the team
