BWBR seeks a Communications Manager to create and share content that demonstrates our role as thought leaders to our clients. This position is ideal for a collaborative, strategic, and creative professional who will promote BWBR’s brand.

BWBR is a full-service architectural and interior design firm with a team of 160 employees. We have a diverse practice in several markets including behavioral, health care, education, science and technology, wellness and recreation, and office workplaces. The communications manager will act as BWBR’s voice by sharing knowledge with clients, vendors, and colleagues across a variety of media channels. The primary responsibilities include creating and managing the distribution of content that supports BWBR’s role as a thought leader in our key markets, developing dynamic brand communications, and managing a content calendar. The communications manager will devise and execute a communications strategy for the company in coordination with marketing and business development teams.

Applicants should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment while managing multiple priorities. This person will work closely with our marketing, business development, knowledge and research, and graphic design teams, and will report to the Director of Business Development.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate on behalf of BWBR through print and digital media formats 
  • Oversee internal and external facing communications, including direct mail and email campaigns 
  • Collaborate with key managers, business units, and stakeholders within BWBR 
  • Identify topics and write content for blog posts, articles, and white papers 
  • Manage and create content for an established podcast program 
  • Identify speaking opportunities for BWBR thought leaders and work with them to create presentation proposals and content 
  • Manage social media activity and work with marketing coordinators to create social media posts 
  • Manage BWBR’s website and online tracking analytics 
  • Maintain and enhance BWBR’s brand through communications

Experience, skills, and abilities:

  • 10-15 years’ experience in a communications position 
  • Ability to communicate with leaders at all levels 
  • Broad knowledge of graphics, web design, social media, and professional services 
  • Deep knowledge of communications and thought leadership strategy 
  • Exceptional skills in writing and editing technical, professional, and creative content in a business-to-business environment 
  • Strong sense of aesthetics and design 
  • Excellent time management, organizational, collaboration and teamwork skills 
  • Demonstrates judgement and decision making to connect with organizational goals and priorities 
  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite 
  • Experience with CRM (Deltek Vision/VantagePoint) a plus
