Your Responsibilities:

As a Communications Manager for Aftermarket & Customer Support (A&CS) Global Operations and the North America Parts Distribution Center (NA-PDC) located in Milan, Illinois, you will create and implement an annual communication plan that aligns enterprise communication and A&CS strategic goals with global operations needs and local unit priorities. In addition, you will:

  • Write or oversee communication materials produced for A&CS Global Operations and NA-PDC audiences, including newsletters, e-blasts, posters, digital signs, wage talk sheets, tours, and unit events
  • Provide strategic communication coaching and support to Operations and NA-PDC leadership and Region 4 A&CS facilities
  • Manage the NA-PDC tour program team

What Skills You Need:

  • 3 or more years of experience in the communication field as either a writer, designer, Account Manager or Communication Manager/Specialist within a business environment 
  • Working knowledge of communication styles/mechanisms/theories 
  • Experience with technology tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe products, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams

  • Broad exposure to our business, customers, and organizational structures for functions, divisions, or regions at John Deere 
  • Familiarity with Aftermarket & Customer Support functions 
  • Advanced knowledge of video editing 
  • Advanced knowledge of SharePoint sites 
  • Cross functional work experience with global teams

Education:

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, or marketing or equivalent related work
