Communications Specialist (Marshfield / Stevens Point)

Marshfield Clinic Health System is the largest private group medical practice in Wisconsin and one of the largest in the United States, with more than 1,200 medical providers representing 90 specialties and subspecialties. The System has more than 50 locations in 34 Wisconsin communities in northern, central and western Wisconsin, including hospitals in Marshfield, Eau Claire, Ladysmith, Minocqua, Neillsville, Park Falls, Rice Lake, Weston, and Beaver Dam.

This position is for the Marshfield and Stevens Point area.

The Communication Specialist is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of internal and external communications opportunities; facilitating and coordinating key community relationships and engagement; and supporting media and marketing efforts with local, regional and system leadership. This Communication Specialist interacts with administrators, physicians, community leaders, patients and other stakeholders to positively promote Marshfield Clinic Health System (MCHS) brand, image and relationships to advance the mission, vision and core values of the organization.

Requires:

• Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, journalism or related field
• Three years of experience in a communications, public relations, marketing, or other role with significant writing, promotional and/or community relations experience
• Proficiency with writing for a variety of media and audiences demonstrated through a strong, diverse portfolio; and working knowledge related to spreadsheets, database software, and word processing
