 This position within the Corporate Communications team will assist the overall department function, with a focus on content development. Responsibilities include contributing to the writing, editing and content creation for a wide range of corporate communications and marketing materials. This is a writing and editing intensive position.

Additional responsibilities include contributing to the design of department materials across different mediums; assisting the planning and development of content, maintaining repository of materials, reviewing and updating on a regular basis; developing editorial and planning calendars to maximize efficiency of department; and providing administrative support to the department, as needed. We are a passionate and dedicated team seeking an energetic individual looking to own and grow this role.

Position is based in Cboe Global Markets’ corporate headquarters in Chicago.

Responsibilities:

  • Writing/editing. Contribute to the writing and editing of a wide range of communications and marketing materials, including: posts on Cboe Insights, customer and product newsletters, client communications, website content, corporate message documents, presentations and reports. Edit and proof written materials from other team members. 
  • Social media. Develop and write content for social campaigns, product groups and other communications and marketing purposes for a wide variety of social media channels, including: Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram. Assist with development of social media calendars and monitoring reports. 
  • Content management. Maintain a central repository of communications and marketing content, easily accessed and shared by the team. Ensure all content is current and accurate through regular, ongoing reviews. Assist with quarterly updates to messaging. 
  • Eye for design. Work collaboratively with design team to conceptualize and develop graphics for a broad spectrum of communications and marketing materials, including: social media posts, media and customer presentations, and a wide variety of communications and marketing materials. Develop templates for reusable collateral pieces. Edit photos and other materials in support of newsletters, website and other mediums. 
  • Perform others duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Finance or public relations fields. 
  • 2 to 3 years experience in journalism, corporate communications, public relations or related field. 
  • Experience writing/editing corporate communications or marketing materials. 
  • Must be a proficient writer with ability to distill complex information into easily understood material. 
  • Flexibility to write for a wide variety of mediums – everything from tweets to speeches. 
  • Must be an exceptional editor. Accuracy and attention to detail are critical. 
  • Experience in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Suit required. Familiarity with social media management platforms, web publishing systems and SharePoint a plus.
