We’re seeking an energetic, driven communications professional to join our marketing communications team as a Communications Specialist. In this role, you will support our employee communications efforts across the organization and be responsible for implementing strategic internal communications to engage CHS employees worldwide. You will manage execution of communications through a variety of channels, translating complex subjects to clear, engaging information. You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization, be able to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

In this role you will:

  • Produce dynamic content for employees using a variety of media and partnering with our print and digital teams to drive engagement among our more than 11,000 employees around the world. 
  • Provide strategic communications planning and implementation for internal stakeholder teams, including human resources and information technology. 
  • Produce regular communications for and manage communications to corporate campus and segmented employee audiences. 
  • Support key employee events, such as employee town hall meetings. 
  • Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions 
  • Work on other projects as assigned.

Basic Qualifications: (required)

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Up to 2 years of professional communications experience

Preferred Qualifications: (desired)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations and Marketing 
  • Internal communications experience 
  • Photography and/or videography experience 
  • Agriculture and/or cooperative knowledge
