PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Intaking communication requests, preparing content and deploying through various mediums to intended audience. Phenomenal communication and copywriting skills make a strong communications specialist. Experience in corporate communications and project management are important qualities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Strategically develop effective corporate communication 
  • Assist in communication of initiatives or messages from senior leadership 
  • Draft content for internal communications, social media and company websites 
  • Liaise with PR agency and Public Affairs department for interviews, statements, etc. 
  • Execute employee engagement and culture building activities 
  • Coordinating the generation and submission of award nominations 
  • Organize initiatives and assist in the planning of and execution of events 
  • Foster relationships with advocates and key persons 
  • Support in various capacities to the communications team

QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Training and Experience):

  • BS/BA in public relations, communications or relevant field 
  • 3+ years experience in communication and content production 
  • Experience in web design and social media management is a plus 
  • Experience in copywriting and editing 
  • Solid understanding of project management principles 
  • Working knowledge of MS Office; photo and video-editing software is a plus 
  • Excellent communication (oral and writing) and presentation skills 
  • Outstanding organizational and planning skills
