Job Purpose:

Work as part of the Corporate Communications team to drive internal and external communications projects, planning and execution. This role will execute upon Graco’s corporate social media and internal communications channels and external communications strategies.

Essential Duties:

  • Create and execute upon plans for internal communications and corporate social channels that align with corporate strategies and business goals 
  • Write and design announcements for the company's various internal communications channels, including the Intranet, email and video monitor system 
  • Craft content for corporate social media channels, including photos and visuals, and maintain knowledge of industry trends and changing social media platforms 
  • Support external communications and corporate marketing through activities to enhance visibility and image of Graco globally 
  • Work cross-functionally with various stakeholders to ensure business initiatives supported 
  • Assist in the execution of external events 
  • Assist in the coordination of projects and follow-up as needed to ensure deadlines met 
  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field required
  • 2+ years of experience in (internal and external) business, nonprofit, or public sector communications

Skills/Abilities/Competencies:

  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to write about a wide range of topics 
  • Adept at navigating change as well as ambiguous directives as projects evolve 
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with a strong understanding of importance of messaging and reputation management 
  • Able to organize and prioritize work assignments while handling multiple tasks 
  • Detail-oriented and able to work well within a deadline-driven environment 
  • An extremely high level of energy and sense of urgency, along with sound problem solving 
  • Able to work effectively with diverse groups and individuals 
  • Fluent in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign a plus 
  • Project Management tool experience a plus
