Communications Specialist
Twin Cities Metro
St. Paul or Remote, MN

The Communications Specialist is a professional position that reports to the Corporate Communications Manager. The position reports to the company’s headquarters location in St. Paul, MN, but the location of this position is flexible to be remote in the U.S.

The Communications Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day writing, publishing, and distribution of content primarily, but not limited to, our internal communications channels. This position works under direction from the Corporate Communications manager to design, develop, publish, and maintain content to ensure consistent communications standards are maintained and key messages are aligned with company goals.

Primary Duties:

Support Corporate Communications Content Development and Distribution (70%)

  • Develop and manage the global internal communications content calendar. 
  • Write, edit, and distribute employee communications through print and electronic media, ensuring messaging consistency, alignment with global key messages and proper use of AP Style. 
  • Support consistent, aligned design of company collateral, event displays, graphics, and advertising. 
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Human Resources, Finance, and Information Technology to support corporate communications projects, as assigned.

Support Digital Content Development and Publishing (30%)

  • Responsible for the day-to-day publishing and maintenance of H.B. Fuller’s intranet home page and communications site content. 
  • Play a key role in the company’s implementation of a new intranet site. 
  • Assist with content development for other H.B. Fuller digital sites (, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.), as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or equivalent
  • 3+ years professional experience in a corporate setting
  • Native English language fluency
  • Strong writing/editing skills with superior knowledge of AP Style and experience editing and proofreading content
  • Experience managing digital content using a CMS or SharePoint
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A self-starter with a strong work ethic and energetic style

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internal communications experience 
  • SharePoint experience 
  • Chinese, Spanish, German, or Portuguese language proficiency 
  • Knowledge of the adhesives industry

Physical Environment

  • Flexible on work location. Reports to corporate office in St. Paul, Minnesota.
