Summary:

This position will work within the Human Resources department to deliver an organization-wide communication program via different channels. The specialist will contribute to the overall employee engagement strategy by constructing and curating relevant content and then delivering that content. He/She will also have a solid understanding social media tools and governance practices, as well as the ability to identify, recommend and post engaging content on a daily basis.

Essential Functions:

  • Plan, create, edit and publish content for a variety of internal communication channels, such as the intranet, employee memorandums, email, quarterly newsletters, social media and flash-report type communications. 
  • Collaborates with marketing to design appropriate graphics such as posters, word clouds and info-graphics to convey a variety of messages. 
  • Assist in the design and implementation of social media campaigns to promote ReaderLink’s emerging employer value proposition. 
  • Assist in deploying video as a viable source of appropriate communications. 
  • Provide communications support to HR in town halls, leader briefings and other community events, helping communicate with employees as business strategies evolve. 
  • Provide support to distribution center Human Resources in implementing social media strategies as a communication vehicle for a diverse employee populations. 
  • Identify authentic opportunities to tell the ReaderLink story, initiatives, priorities and actions. Deploy appropriate communications in coordination with senior leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Communications, Business, or related field is required. 
  • Three to five years in demonstrated experience within a Corporate Communications environment. 
  • Prior experience in corporate culture implementation/social media engagement required. 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Adobe Suite is required.
