Job Summary:

The primary responsibilities of the Communications Specialist are to police Signode brand usage and ensure compliance across global platforms. In addition, this role works closely with the Digital Marketing Specialist to manage and support general creative asset development needs of Corp. and Americas platform groups.

Essential functions include:

Global Brand Compliance Management:

  • Work with Global Marketing Director to develop ongoing strategy /roadmap for continued brand deployment and integration 
  • Manage and maintain brand integrity for business and building assets globally 
  • Provide direction and design support for creative asset development (new logos, products/service naming etc.)

Corp / Americas Platform Creative Development:

  • Communicate and manage Corp. creative budget needs (i.e. video support, stock photography, design software or tools etc.) 
  • Support internal Corp., E&T in the Americas and the Americas platforms with creative assets as needed 
  • Develop videos/photography (storyboard, Recce, Shoot, Edit etc.) 
  • Work with Corp. Digital Marketing Specialists to create branded templates and creative guidelines for the Signode.com site 
  • Delegate necessary creative needs to digital specialists - could include ad designs, PDFs and other assets within his/her ability 
  • Work with Corp. Communications and Events specialist to develop PDFs, handouts, event signage, PPTs and other creative materials needed 
  • Work with Americas platform groups to identify and develop additional collateral material needs (brochures, sales sheets, product literature etc.)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in advertising, graphic design, integrated marketing communications or other related field 
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in graphic communications and design in print, online and digital mediums 
  • Manufacturing / B2B experience a plus 
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud programs including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign’ 
  • Experience with Final Cut Pro or other approved video-editing software

Core Competency Skills:

  • Strong understanding of corporate branding guidelines and complex global brand architecture structures 
  • Ability to design and develop a variety of creative assets, from PDFs and brochures to PPTs and videos, while maintaining and managing brand integrity 
  • Basic Video / photo production and editing skills 
  • Production knowledge, including resolution, sizes and file types, as well as scanning, pre-press and print production 
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Works well with global team members and internal groups to execute creative projects 
  • Excellent grammatical, spelling, proofreading abilities are preferred
