Overview:

Western National is looking for a strong communicator to join our Organization. This Corporate Communications Specialist will assist in the writing, editing and delivery of internal and external communications, copy for marketing materials, and development of other marketing resources that enhance the competitive position of the company. This role will also be heavily involved in the creation of corporate communications, Intranet content, blog/web content and contributions to Western National’s social media accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Write, proofread, and edit content for internal and external publication. 
  • Assist in day-to-day content management (reviewing, editing, updating, and developing) of the corporate Intranet. 
  • Assist in writing, editing, and preparing content for corporate communication plans. 
  • Support the production of professional-grade layouts and designs for a variety of communications and marketing materials including advertisements, brochures, internal campaign materials, print and digital publications, and other projects as assigned. 
  • Assist in all other matters of corporate communications (e.g., website, social media, video, public relations). 
  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, English, Journalism, Psychology or a related field, or equivalent combination of experience and education. 
  • Strong written & oral communication skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team. 
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects. 
  • Experience with HTML and/or blogging platforms is preferred.
