Better Business Bureau Serving Wisconsin is searching for a talented and professional Community Outreach and Events Coordinator to develop and plan successful events that advance the recognition of the BBB brand. The successful candidate will also be charged with discovering new opportunities and partnerships within the community to establish a stronger bond with our target audience and increase local market share.

You will represent the organization and work with the marketing team to develop and implement initiatives that increase visibility of BBB and engagement with BBB services within the surrounding community. You need to be self-motivated, enthusiastic and community-driven to take on this exciting role. This position requires someone equipped with a positive attitude and readiness to be a team player.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of event and outreach planning and execution 
  • Maintain a calendar and organized reports of outreach activities, community events, workshops, networking events, educational events, presentations, sponsorships and other opportunities 
  • Manage annual statewide Torch Award for Ethics and BBB Spark Award programs 
  • Oversee annual statewide Students of Integrity Scholarship program 
  • Adhere to the annual budget for events and BBB Foundation activities 
  • Nurture new and old relationships with partners and businesses 
  • Prepare accurate records and reports on event and community engagement goals 
  • Refer qualified business leads to the business relations & development team 
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, business or related fields 
  • Preferred experience of 3-5 years within non-profit fundraising or outreach activities 
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication and presentation skills 
  • Strong experience preparing reports 
  • Friendly, enthusiastic and positive attitude 
  • Strong knowledge of social media, G Suite, and other basic marketing platforms 
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects at a time
