Position Summary:

Creates and curates content and tactical information-sharing targeting employees and external stakeholders. Supports the corporate communications department’s strategy by developing and delivering compelling messages that informs, educates, and engages. Using strong writing skills and intuitive creative positioning, writes, edits, proofreads, and distributes communication using a variety of digital tools and platforms.

Essential to this Position:

Reporting to the Director of Corporate Communications, the Content Communications Specialist creates and curates content and tactical information-sharing targeting employees and external stakeholders. This person will support the corporate communications department’s strategy by developing and delivering compelling messages, videos, and social media content that inform, educate, and engage. Using strong writing skills and intuitive creative positioning, the Content Communications Specialist will write, edit, proofread, and distribute communication using a variety of digital tools and platforms. This person will also prepare and manage various virtual communications meetings as well as large, in-person meetings. Collaborating with organization businesses, departments, task forces, and special event teams, this person will implement communications plans and establish metrics and goals using all methods: written material, videos, presentations, digital and online.

  • Support and strengthen Menasha Corporation’s brand, reputation, and people philosophy through communications that impact internal and external audiences 
  • Build robust storytelling with creative writing skills and utilize digital tools and programs to create and distribute communications 
  • Oversee corporate social media activities including the design and content, tracking and monitoring. 
  • Develop and maintain annual social media plan 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to guide or develop messaging and content targeting various internal and external stakeholders 
  • Schedule and oversee photo shoots and videography 
  • Write and prepare internal newsletters, annual publications, presentations, scripts, speeches, and press releases; assist with rebranding of material as needed 
  • Maintain and update website content, various intranet content, content calendars, and assist in the preparation of corporate advertising and community relations material 
  • Ensure compliance with corporate branding and image guidelines 
  • Oversee various enterprise-wide communications meetings 
  • This person should enjoy shaping messages and communications to inform and inspire various audiences. 
  • Stay current on leading trends to deliver practical and insightful communication recommendations and thought leadership 
  • Use data analytics to track and understand what content is resonating and best practices for communicating 
  • Must be highly organized 
  • Assist with periodic internal events and external media-involved events

Education Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

Work Experience Required:

  • At least 4 years relevant experience required.

Knowledge, Skills, or Abilities Desired:

  • Knowledge of the means, tools, techniques and media for issuing information about the organization 
  • Ability to develop, produce and distribute news, newsletters and other communications materials targeted at the employees 
  • Knowledge of organizational practices and considerations for communicating in the public arena, from community to global public relations (PR) 
  • Knowledge of the processes and tools for design, development and publication of various organizational materials such as press releases, briefings, and marketing materials 
  • Knowledge of the variety of formats, styles, and techniques for developing and reviewing publishing materials 
  • Knowledge of the publication software and techniques for design and development of various organizational materials
