The Content Creator Sr. (Technical Writer) is responsible for developing high-quality, standards-based learning content for Infinite Campus products. This learning content must be presented in multiple formats, such as text, video, and simulation, to meet the needs and learning styles of end users. The role emphasizes strong team leadership, strategic content planning, familiarity with adult learning principles, and a focus on customer experience (CX) and usability.

Job Responsibilities:

Content Development:

  • Identify content gaps to ensure comprehensive coverage of our products in the knowledge base and internal wiki.
  • Design and develop learning content for product functionality that is understandable to a wide array of end users.
  • Review, edit, and update existing content to align with evolving product functionality.

Content Strategy:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of a comprehensive content strategy for technical documentation. 
  • Identify processes and opportunities for improving content strategy. 
  • Ensure the alignment of content strategy with organizational goals and user needs. 

User Engagement and Feedback:

  • Measure the impact of content by analyzing user feedback and engagement metrics to assess the effectiveness of the content.
  • Work closely with development teams to understand product functionality and incorporate user feedback into content improvements.

Content Governance:

  • Collaborate with other teams to develop standards for content governance and management.
  • Assist in establishing and enforcing content standards and guidelines to maintain high-quality output.

Team Leadership:

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive content development and adherence to content strategy.

Desired Background:

  • BA/BS required and 7-10 years of relevant industry experience. 
  • Experience in adult learning content design and development. 
  • Proven writing experience preferred. 
  • Proficiency in using learning content creation tools, office productivity suites, wikis, online learning tools, or comparable software products.
  • Dynamic professional with experience in one or more of the following areas: technical writing, instructional design, adult learning, or as a K12 employee. 
  • Demonstrated understanding of customer experience (CX) and usability principles.
