Content Creator

The Content Creator will join the Creative team, home to our Design, Product Development, R&D, Brand, and Marketing teams. We are looking for an experienced and result-driven content expert to join our awesome team! As the Content Creator you will be responsible for the creation and direction of all content marketing initiatives across multiple platforms and formats.

The goal for these efforts is to increase website traffic and drive engagement, qualified lead generation, customer retention, and other positive brand related outcomes. You will work with the Marketing Manager and other internal talent to help define our brand story, in addition to developing consistency for our brand's storytelling. You must have an obsession for content performance, reporting and analytics.

Our content creator will lead the development of our content initiatives with a publisher/journalist mindset, in all forms, to drive brand awareness and customer acquisition. The right candidate will have the heart of a teacher, with a love of learning, writing, and communicating in all forms, and a passion for sharing our stories with our audience. Your work will be measured on the continual improvement of customer nurturing and retention through storytelling, and consistent development and deployment of content. Your mission is to create value for our customers, fostering deep customer satisfaction and advocacy.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Establish, activate, and manage an integrated strategy across social media channels including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest and other owned channels.
  • Develop, manage & refine an integrated, digital content calendar that drives brand goals and business objectives. 
  • Prioritizing content that creates connection and conversation with our growing community. 
  • Collaborate with designers and digital marketing team to build out assets for campaigns, briefing all on strategies to employ and business objectives behind the work. 
  • Work closely with and understand the priorities of the Fragrance, R&D, Brand, Creative, and Digital teams to define and execute content plans aligned with the overarching brand strategy.


  • Create content across all social media channels including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest and other owned channels. 
  • Create content to execute the content calendar inclusive of all digital channels with key focuses on product education, brand marketing, product, and editorial stories. 
  • You should be able to create three or more new pieces of content a week. 
  • A passion for creating content - ability to shoot stills, jump on camera, and create short-form video to keep up with daily and weekly growth trends 
  • Ability to identify, interview, and leverage internal talent and knowledge to establish thought leadership in category whitespace, educate our consumer and drive brand awareness.
  • Partner with Influencers to launch our influencer/creator network on organic social.


  • Photograph products, seeking to present the product in an accurate and appealing way. 
  • Work cross departmentally to manage multiple photo shoots. 
  • Gather product to shoot, and plan to meet retailer and/or internal requirements needed such as number of shots, crop dimensions, angles required, other specs. 
  • Coordinate stage, equipment, and propping needs. 
  • Edit and clean up images including to appropriate crops and tags.


  • Own reporting on overall performance of content across digital channels. 
  • Track trends, best practices, platform changes, and developments, understanding how to keep ahead of the curve with content and photography. 
  • Follow actionable insights on trends, algorithms, and changes of the social landscape and give regular updates to leadership and other stakeholders.

Skills & Knowledge Required:

  • Impeccable writing and editorial skills, with an outstanding command of the English language. 
  • An understanding of common editorial style guides, e.g. AP Style, Chicago Manual of Style, etc. 
  • Training as a print or broadcast journalist is a bonus. Great at telling a story using words, images, or audio, and an understanding of how to create content that draws an audience. 
  • The ability to think like an educator, intuitively understanding what the audience needs to know and how they want to consume it. 
  • A passion for new technology tools and usage of those tools within your own blogs and social media outreach. 
  • Clear articulation of the business goal behind the creation of a piece (or series) of content. 
  • Project management skills to manage editorial schedules and deadlines within ongoing campaigns. 
  • Incredible people skills. 
  • Needs to be continually learning the latest platforms, technology tools and marketing solutions through partnerships. 
  • Able to screen out sales pitches and look for the relevant brand and customer story 
  • 5+ years of social media or digital marketing experience 
  • Ability to be flexible and agile with constant changes and time restraints Team player mentality with an entrepreneurial spirit 
  • Experience working in smaller, high-growth company is a plus 
  • Excellent MacOS skills including Adobe Suite: Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Lightroom, Aftereffects, Premiere, iMovie
