MNGI Digestive Health is a nationally recognized leader in gastroenterology diagnosis, quality and care.

Our Twin Cities-based physician practice specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of adult and pediatric digestive system disorders and our gastroenterologists have expertise in virtually all aspects of gastrointestinal (GI) care.

All MNGI physicians are board-certified or eligible gastroenterologists, who have completed two to three years of GI training in addition to an internal medicine or pediatric residency. Gastroenterologists also receive specialized training in endoscopy, a diagnostic procedure which uses a flexible, lighted tube with a built-in video camera to examine the inside of the digestive/intestinal tract.

Job Purpose:

As a valued member of the Marketing and Communications team, the Marketing Content Creator is a creative, dedicated individual who will support the department and the organization by producing high-quality outputs for our healthcare practice through a variety of writing, design, and production responsibilities. This is a full-time position (40 hours per week), Monday-Friday and is a hybrid position with some in-person work expectations, combined with remote work capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Create original content for the organization throughcopywriting, editing, design, graphics, production, and dissemination supportfor a variety of high-quality, on-brand internal and external communication tools and resources,including but not limited to:

  • Blogs 
  • News articles 
  • Social posts 
  • Website content 
  • Scripts for videos and other recordings 
  • Slides for patient and caregiver TVs/monitors 
  • E-newsletters 
  • Promotional and printed materials 
  • Press Releases 
  • Advertising copy

In this role, the Content Creator will work with the Marketing team on the strategy, scheduling and planning for content projects to support the department and organization’s goals. To be successful, the Content Creator will also need to:

CONTENT DEVELOPMENT - Research and gather information that supports each writing project. This will include previous communications, as well as interviews/discussions and engaging with internal staff and physicians/providers who may also draft, review, or participate in content projects. Ensure that the information produced is accurate, relevant to the audience, appropriate to the tool/resource, and aligns with marketing or other organizational goals. Proofread and revise articles before submitting for approval and publication.

DESIGN & PRODUCTION - Graphics and design for social posts, signage, and other materials, in alignment with our Style Guide and by continuing to shape our stylistic uses. Also responsible for the in-house studio and production/technical work related to creating video content, audio recordings, etc.

DIGITAL/SOCIAL/WEBSITE - Support tasks related to digital marketing efforts, including writing, designing, placement, and promotion of social media posts, video assets, blogs/articles, company initiatives, etc. Monitoring and using social media to engage consumers, including timely and HIPAA compliant responses to online comments and reviews, monitoring online reputation, etc. Plan and produce content to fit the style and technical requirements of the different websites. Regularly review and make approved updates to the websites as needed/requested. Work with Digital Marketing Strategist on content optimization meant to increase website traffic and engagement, including Keyword research and SEO principles to increase content performance.

MEDIA/PRESS SUPPORT - Develop and maintain editorial calendars for important publications. Identify opportunities for the company to provide leadership and expertise. Submit approved press releases, build/maintain relationships for follow up and to pitch stories and interview opportunities. Track the exposure of these efforts.

Education and Experience/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field and/or 2-3 years related experience in a communications or content creation role with copywriting, graphic design, and related responsibilities. 
  • Ability to provide a portfolio of applicable outputs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Working knowledge of:

  • Basic business and marketing concepts 
  • Creating strong, engaging content through copywriting, communications writing, proofreading and graphic design 
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel). 
  • Good working knowledge of HTML, website content management software (CMS), email, and design programs. 
  • Experience with navigating and moderating social media/networking platforms 
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and video editing software a plus, but not required. 
  • Comfortable learning new software or platforms as needed. 
  • Ability to read, write, and speak Spanish preferred.
