Content Editor

MX is seeking a content editor to support our financial services clients’ content marketing programs. The ideal candidate will have strong writing and editing skills and be able to seamlessly shift between brainstorming ideas for a new client’s content program to editing a whitepaper or writing a LinkedIn post. An interest in the financial services industry is a plus.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

• Work closely with content teams to develop story ideas and content strategy 
• Write and edit articles and social posts to create content that’s educational and interesting—and aligns with client goals 
• Collaborate with design and video/audio teams as needed 
• Keep pace with content marketing industry trends and developments, including social media and SEO

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Has at least 3 years of journalism or content marketing experience 
• Is comfortable writing and editing across a variety of formats: feature articles and listicles, infographics, video scripts, social media posts 
• Has experience with substantive editing of content, as well as copy editing and fact checking 
• Is highly organized with the ability to work independently and productively (in a hybrid office environment) on multiple projects and clients 
• Is driven, proactive and curious—willing to learn about new subjects and unafraid to suggest bold ideas 
• Will own projects from inception to completion, maintaining a clear focus on communication and deadlines 
• Has a strong understanding of SEO tactics and best practices
