The Content Lead is responsible for the development and implementation of client-facing content for Cision’s social channels. The main purpose of the position is to reinforce Cision’s position as an expert/thought-leader and premier solutions provider – fostering engagement, lead generation and overall brand awareness through compelling and informative content across Cision’s social channels.

Candidates must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills and deep social media acumen. Candidates must enjoy collaborating with different teams and have an eye for strategy, data and detail. Creativity and analytics go hand in hand in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop marketing content strategy, creation and distribution for Cision’s social media channels in support of the larger, global company narrative
  • Increase brand awareness and support lead gen with thought leadership and an emphasis on differentiating the company from industry competition 
  • Analyze social listening data to identify key trends and strategic content opportunities
  • Develop and manage customer-driven content production from initial concept and execution to measurement of response and reporting across channels in collaboration with the marketing operations team 
  • Assist in product launch strategy and execution 
  • Analyze and report on content marketing performance KPIs 
  • Capitalize on prospect and customer engagement opportunities with applicable content as needed in collaboration with the Field & Event Marketing team 
  • Collaborate with Field Marketing on digital activation for company hosted events and major industry trade shows 
  • Increase visibility within industry trade publications and blogs through editorial content and paid advertisement 
  • Work with Social, Content & PR colleagues to optimize social media presence and online reputation through engaging posts and systematic monitoring

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related field. 
  • 4-6 years’ B2B content development and writing experience; has strong experience writing for social channels and feels comfortable with technical writing, brand management, thought leadership, lead generation, collateral development and digital marketing. 
  • Experience engaging with and understanding complex markets, technology solutions and wide-range of business models. 
  • Significant experience with SEO, content design, content best practices and overall content management. 
  • An excellent communicator, self-starter and capable of working both independently and in a collaborative team environment. 
  • Keen attention to detail with strong problem-solving, multi-tasking and organizational skills. 
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite is required. 
  • Sense of humor a plus! 
  • Available to travel around 5% of the time subject to Covid travel restrictions lifting
