Content Marketing & SEO Strategist

We’re looking for a Content & Social Media Strategist to help drive our content marketing efforts. This role will be responsible for driving increased user engagement through the management of our content program and implementation of inbound marketing strategies. The strategist will be focused on providing useful information to our social media communities, building brand trust and improving our organic search visibility.

The ideal candidate has strong writing skills, a strategic focus, and excellent organizational and relationship skills. A strong background in managing editorial content is preferred, as is a passion for experimenting and continuously optimizing content efforts.


  • Create and manage social media editorial calendars for all institutions. 
  • Develop and drive new social media campaigns and initiatives. 
  • Act as editor for all content, including blog posts, social media posts and executive reporting, ensuring a strong and consistent brand voice for each institution.
  • Research trends, keywords and news items, and analyze social media and Google Analytics insights to inform content development calendar. 
  • Cultivate and manage internal content creators, including faculty, colleagues, students and alumni. Plan, organize, edit and publish their work. 
  • Create bi-weekly and monthly reports to provide social and content insights to the broader marketing and management teams. Use social analytics and insights to inform editorial opportunities. 
  • Support, enhance and expand our healthcare content. Champion and support content marketing efforts and planning. Lead the development of long-term editorial calendars for the vertical. 
  • Identify opportunities to leverage social media in new ways and continue to grow engagement with our online communities. 
  • Lead efforts to incorporate SEO best practices into content marketing initiatives. 
  • Contribute to videos, blog posts, graphics, web content and email as needed. 
  • Other special projects and duties as needed.

  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred. 
  • 3-5 years experience in a communications, journalism or marketing position with a strong digital focus 
  • A strong understanding and background in content marketing. Inbound Certification preferred. 
  • Excellent, strategy-focused communication, interview, writing and organizational skills. 
  • Strong analytical skills. 
  • MS Office proficient. (Including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
