Trek is looking for a Content Marketing Copywriter who thrives in a team environment and can write dazzling educational content, keyword-rich articles, and product copy under the pressure of tight deadlines.

As Content Marketing Copywriter, you’ll be the lead writer for web pages that drive traffic and get more people on bikes. You’ll write on a wide variety of cycling-related topics for a wide variety of riders, so you’ll need to be versatile. Understanding how to write to different audiences is key to doing this job well.

You’ll also need to be fluent in the language of bikes across all categories. This is a must. Writers are usually experts on how to say something. In this role, you’ll need to be the expert on what to say, too. Experience with keywords and SEO is a plus.

This position is based at Trek Headquarters in Waterloo, Wisconsin. Remote work is not an option. Please include writing samples or portfolio.

Responsibilities:

  • 50% content writing for web pages and blog 
  • 30% product copywriting 
  • 20% additional brand and communications writing
  • Deep understanding of the cycling landscape, athletes, and cycling-related products 
  • Exceptional writing, proofing, and multi-tasking skills 
  • Proven ability to write content that drives web traffic 
  • Ability to keep a cool head under pressure 
  • Willingness to jump in and help on a variety of writing and communications projects
