Concordia University invites applicants for a full-time, salary Content Marketing Lead position.This full-time, salary position is for bold, creative thinkers who are able to connect the dots between content development and lead generation. Located at the Mequon, WI or Ann Arbor, MI campus (pending candidate). This position will support the Marketing Department in the development of creative content marketing initiatives. Serving Concordia University Wisconsin, Concordia University Ann Arbor, and our online presences, this role plays a critical part in our marketing strategy. This position reports directly to the Director of Digital Marketing.

A flexible, hybrid (in office/remote) work schedule may be offered to the right candidate provided that it would work for the needs of the department.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Dream up industry leading content marketing initiatives to increase both lead flow and return on investment
  • Serve as a main copywriter for marketing, writing: blogs, landing pages, and emails for use in campaigns
  • Collaborate with colleagues on innovative "freemium" content for use in generating leads
  • Work with Digital Marketing team to distribute content via paid channels
  • Work with web team to maximize content marketing features on our web properties
  • Alongside the Web and Design team, develop media including: video, audio (podcast), and interactive pieces.
  • Working with strategist team, coordinate a cohesive content strategy across multiple schools
  • Measurement and optimization of content
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Passion for Concordia's mission 
  • Creative, out of the box mindset 
  • Self-motivated individual, with the ability to work in a cross-functional teams 
  • Experience developing content that generates leads 
  • Extraordinary copywriting ability, with a portfolio of work to review 
  • Proven project management and interpersonal skills 
  • Familiarity with systems is preferred, such as: WordPress, Cascade, Hubspot CRM and Inbound Marketing / Automation 
  • Experience using analytics tools and reporting on content performance preferred 
  • Ability to occasionally travel and work on weekends and/or nights (rarely) 
  • Supportive of the mission and values of Concordia University Wisconsin/Ann Arbor and theLutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS)

    Education & Experience: An Associate's Degree (Bachelor's is preferred), and 3 years of experience in a content marketing, or related role.

This is a full-time, exempt (salary) staff position. The starting wage is dependent upon individual qualifications and experience.
