Position Summary:

The content marketing manager position requires an energetic and organized individual who will plan and execute engaging content strategies that are in line with our brand’s image and objectives. They will be responsible for staying up to date on industry best practices and analyzing key website and social media metrics. The individual will be part of our national marketing team and work closely with business development and marketing staff, senior executives and subject matter experts. They must be an excellent communicator, committed to delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment, and passionate about helping differentiate us in our key markets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop communication strategies across numerous platforms including website, ads, social media, public relations, project pursuits, etc. that build customer loyalty, brand recognition and customer satisfaction. 
  • Collaborate across functions to deliver an effective content marketing strategy and editorial plan to meet the business objectives. 
  • Editorial requirements include basic SEO understanding, content categorization and structure, content development, distribution and measurement. Development of editorial governance so content is consistent with our brand voice, style and tone. 
  • Channel management of all social channels. This person must understand the basic best practices of the main social media channels, i.e. type of content, audiences, effective approaches, etc. 
  • Editorial calendar and organization workflows must be developed and managed. 
  • Management of resources including support staff and other external resources. 
  • Other duties, responsibilities, or activities may be assigned at any time.

Required Skills:

  • Strong presentation and communication skills 
  • Editorial mindset that seeks to understand what audiences consume and how to create it 
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines 
  • Demonstrated ability to use social media channels effectively to deliver marketing content 
  • Experience creating targeted content that supports overall company goals 
  • Ability to analyze and present content and social performance 
  • Project management skills and understanding how to manage the priorities in a complex environment and focus on the delivery of results in the form of engagement and differentiation 
  • Website management and/or CMS experience is preferred

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing or a related field 
  • Minimum of seven years of related professional experience

Travel:

  • Occasional travel may be required.
