The Content Marketing Manager is responsible for creating and curating dynamic content to share among First Stage’s digital platforms, including key and emerging social media channels, website, and playbill. This dynamic marketer will collaborate among all departments, artists, vendors, and other stakeholders to create content ideas and concepts for the digital space, ensuring the brand voice is consistent among all channels, and is in support of branding and revenue goals and objectives. The position serves as an integral member of the marketing team, and works with all departments and stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Content/Social Media Management

  • Create and curate dynamic content (paid and organic) to tell First Stage’s story through our social media platforms, supporting company goals and objectives.
  • Maintain active social media presence for First Stage aligned with the company brand, ensuring two-way communication with constituents to drive engagement.
  • Drive collaboration among internal departments (Artistic & Production, Marketing, Box Office, Theater Academy, Theater in Education, Development) to curate and develop content, ensuring consistency and clarity in all digital platforms.
  • Work closely with internal designers and external multimedia contractors to develop timely, consistent, and engaging content, as well as creating content as needed through copywriting, photo, video, and other imagery.
  • Coordinate all paid social media content with digital marketing agency.
  • Maintain content calendar in project management software.
  • Track and report on performance of social media and content, and make adjustments as necessary to meet consumer and technology trends.

Website Content Management

  • Maintain First Stage website timely content and image updates, working within our Content Management System (CMS).
  • Coordinate with other internal departments on content updates, and fulfill website update requests as needed.

Playbill Editorial Management

  • Manage digital playbill publication, including collecting artists’ bios, headshots, sponsor ads, and other materials.
  • Input content into existing CMS, work across other departments for proofreading, editing, and timely publication for audiences.

The hours of this position are primarily standard weekday business hours, and requires occasional early morning, evening or weekend hours. While work is primarily conducted in person, a hybrid work schedule is negotiable.

  • College degree or minimum 2-3 years relevant work experience in a digital or content marketing capacity; performing arts or non-profit experience is a plus.
  • Proactive, creative, and professional collaborator who is comfortable working with a variety of individuals, including colleagues, artists, young people and families, and outside vendors.
  • Detail and results-oriented; comfortable multi-tasking to produce high-quality work on tight deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Photography and videography experience is helpful.
  • Must successfully pass a background check.
  • First Stage requires confirmation of a COVID-19 vaccination and the apprioriate 14-day waiting period after vaccination series in order to have any First Stage employee present in any administrative office, classroom, rehearsal hall, or performance space. Salary range is $40,000-$42,000/year.
