The Content Marketing Manager will be primarily focused on monitoring, measuring, and improving the health of Mintel’s brand through strategic content marketing initiatives, including day-to-day management of the Mintel Blogs and social media channels, and supporting global lead generation campaigns.

A critical contributor to helping Mintel maintain a cohesive and compelling brand voice, you will help develop, plan and execute the blog and social media strategies. You will advise and support members of the global PR and Marketing teams when executing against those strategies and will be responsible for ongoing reporting and hitting KPIs. The person in this role will be responsible for managing centralized, consolidated, and coordinated content strategies across teams within the marketing department, across regions, and leveraging all channels available to Mintel, including video.

You will support planning and own content creation and campaign implementation with regard to content marketing for thought leadership, lead generation campaigns, special projects, etc. to achieve Mintel’s marketing goals. You should come into this role with proven content marketing and/or business writing experience, as well as exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and significant experience in Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, and/or a related field.

This role has the option of sitting in our US headquarters office in Chicago or working remotely in the United States (in all states aside from Delaware, Iowa, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, New Jersey and Florida) as long as the individual has eligible working rights in the US. Interviews and onboarding are currently being conducted virtually.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Supporting the Global Marketing Strategy: Working directly with the VP of PR and Communications, you will support the development, and lead the execution, of the global blog and social media strategies, taking into account how those strategies feed into the overall global marketing goals. 
  • Mentor and support junior colleagues as part of a global team: You will work closely with a number of PR and Marketing colleagues to help executive against the blog and social media strategies, overseeing their activity, providing support, and ensuring KPIs are met. You’ll also be part of a global team that champions motivating and supporting teammates up and down the ladder. 
  • Growing Mintel’s Brand Awareness Through Engagement: You will focus on building Mintel’s brand awareness through engagement and lead generation. 
  • Creating and Editing Engaging Content: You will develop content through blog posts, thought pieces, white papers, and social media that amplify Mintel’s brand awareness, elevate analyst thought leadership and generate commercial leads.
  • Managing Schedules: You will own and manage the global blog and social media schedules, KPIs and reporting trackers. 
  • Develop Internal Communications: You will work with senior members of the global PR and Communications team to facilitate and deliver excellent internal communications to senior leadership and stakeholders concerning PR/Marketing strategy and performance. 
  • Generating Innovative Ideas: You will employ a creative and proactive approach to work, with the ability to see the 'bigger picture' and bring new ideas and initiatives to the team to raise the corporate profile. 
  • Supporting Mintel Analysts: You will collaborate with Analysts on content creation to produce insightful, timely, and actionable insights for the blog and social media via written or video content. 
  • Monitoring KPIs: You will regularly track team KPIs and goals, with performance and reporting top of mind.

  • Great writer and editor: You have an eye for journalistic storytelling, understand how words and images work together to tell a story; a strong eye for catching design, typography, and layout flaws, as well as top proofreading skills.
  • Possess elevated copywriting and editing skills; able to ensure that all copy is consistent with Mintel overall positioning and branding 

Qualifications (continued):

  • Tech-Savvy: You have excellent Google Workspace, Google Analytics, Sproutsocial (or a similar platform), and WordPress (or a similar platform) skills. Ideally advanced skills in video production and editing tech and software.
