Position Details

Content Marketing Strategist
Southwest Wisconsin
Madison, WI

Demco has been serving libraries and education communities for more than 110 years and is the leading source for solutions to support lifelong learning and enrichment. We are currently seeking a talented, versatile content writer and strategist who can connect with our audience of school and library professionals and compel them to action. You’ll collaborate with talented creatives, marketers, and product experts to bring the Demco brand to life across all channels. This position requires that you think on your feet and are able to juggle multiple projects at once.

As our Content Marketing Strategist, you will:

  • Take a strategic approach to planning, producing and delivering content that’s relevant to each stage of the customer journey
  • Set and achieve tangible goals on sales and conversions through the purchase funnel
  • Build Demco’s position as a thought leader in our markets and increase brand affinity and preference
  • Serve as Demco’s “storyteller in chief,” turning brand and product message strategies into blog posts, articles, email, sales collateral, landing pages, case studies, videos, white papers, social media content, and more
  • Drive thought leadership and position Demco as the go-to for valuable information, ideas, and products that help K-12 schools and public libraries better engage their customers

To be considered for this role, you need the following:

  • A bachelor’s degree in journalism, English literature, communications, or other related field of study 
  • 3 years of experience in a content marketing role 
  • Strong understanding of how and when to use various social media platforms, particularly Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Twitter, and YouTube 
  • Familiarity with analytics tools, such as SEMrush, Topic, Google Analytics, and Google SearchConsole, is a plus

Demco is headquartered in Madison, WI. We are currently open to remote applicants, although travel to our office for meetings will occasionally be required.
