CHS Inc. has a newly created Content Specialist position within our Marketing and Communications team. The Content Specialist will coordinate and create digital content for the CHS Agronomy business. This role will focus on educational resources, promoting focus product strategy, and communicating important information to internal and external audiences through digital, social, and other channels.

The Content Specialist will assist, support, and coordinate content for the business unit while supporting it’s Leaders in Farming Technology (L.I.F.T) program. The Content Specialist will also create a broad range of written and multi-media context for digital channels and other strategic tactics for distribution across internal and external channels.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and execute program content creation, publication, and promotion for both internal and external audiences 
  • Develop content related to agronomy products, programs, and initiatives that meet key business objectives 
  • Assist with agronomy social media channels, including both L.I.F.T. and agronomy planning and strategy 
  • Coordinate the creation of blog and training content annually with LIFT partners providing regular content updates and insights into metrics 
  • Assist in the execution of content opportunities that provide additional educational and strategic resources for b2b sales teams, retail customers, and growers. 
  • Execute strategic social media campaigns and tactics that continue to evolve social media strategy through valuable and fresh content. 
  • Assist with agronomy marketing communications plans, execution of tactics, and creating marketing materials and other resources that support business unit objectives 
  • Develop and execute internal communications for CHS Agronomy employees using current or repurposed content as appropriate 
  • Collaborate with marketing communications digital content teams and assume leadership for business unit social media content on enterprise social media calendar

Minimum Qualifications (required):

  • Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, marketing, communications, public relations, or related degree. 
  • 3+ years of progressive experience in content development and project management experience within marketing communications, public relations, or advertising/agency-related roles. 
  • Experience creating and managing content (blog, audio, video) across multiple platforms (web, mobile, social, print, video). 
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication, collaboration, and planning skills. 
  • Experience and knowledge of web content development, digital publishing, email, and social medial best practices. 
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and application and social media platforms.

Demonstrated ability to:

  • Understand and interpret digital content metrics to create actionable insights for content strategy. 
  • Organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Operate independently and responsibly on strategic and tactical levels. 
  • Collaborate within a cross-functional team to include social media, digital strategy, content development, marketing, and communications. 
  • Complete assignments with minimal oversight.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience managing digital content delivery channels and communications programs with a proven track record of managing direction, deadlines, and vendors. 
  • Experience collaborating with communications agencies to develop creative assets from concepts to final deliverables. 
  • Experience drafting video and audio scripts as well as providing creative direction. 
  • Experience using and direct knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro, etc.). 
  • Direct professional work experience in agriculture to include agronomy, business to business, or supply chain
