Content Strategist

The Communications team is hiring for a Content Strategist.

We’re looking for a creative, skilled writer and editor who is eager to help our growing business expand its content across internal and external platforms. As a collaborative team player, this person will be exposed to a variety of communications functions. We’re a passionate and dedicated team seeking an energetic person excited about the opportunity to grow Cboe’s corporate brand, reputation and voice through this role.

As a Content Strategist, you’ll be responsible for the following:

  • Maintain a central repository of communications and marketing content, easily accessed and shared by the team. Ensure all content is current and accurate through regular, ongoing reviews. Assist with quarterly updates to messaging. 
  • Contribute to creation and maintenance of a quarterly editorial calendar that accounts for news across all of Cboe’s business lines and corporate initiatives. 
  • Write and edit a wide range of communications materials, including posts on Cboe Insights, internal and customer-facing newsletters, client communications, website content and corporate message documents. 
  • Disseminate communications internally and externally, including sending newsletters and making updates to Cboe’s intranet and Insights page. 
  • Proofread a variety of communications materials, including newsletters, Insights posts, press releases, presentations, speeches and other materials.
  • Collaborate with Cboe’s social media team to effectively bring external-facing content to new audiences. 
  • Work collaboratively with design team to conceptualize and develop graphics for a broad spectrum of communications materials and develop templates for reusable collateral pieces. Edit photos and other materials in support of newsletters, Cboe’s website and other mediums. 
  • Complete other tasks as needed.

The ideal candidate:

  • Holds a bachelor's degree in journalism, public relations, communications, marketing or finance 
  • Is a team player who can work cooperatively in group situations, exhibits openness to others' views and will source ideas from other departments across company 
  • Is experienced in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Eye for design and bringing engaging content and graphics to life
  • Understanding of financial industry, creative development and editorial process and latest trends in social media.
