As our Communications Strategist, you will focus on:

  • Writing creative marketing content at an expert level, both long and short form content, including corporate communications and presentations, relevant social media, engaging product copy, sales collateral, digital ad copy, customer testimonials, script writing, and other projects as assigned 
  • Collaborating with the creative director, marketing managers, designers, and internal stakeholders to research, develop, write, and execute relevant and engaging content while maintaining brand consistency across all channels, both print and digital 
  • Editing and reviewing peer content created by others within the marketing team 
  • Consulting with executive management to develop effective corporate communications upon request 
  • Drafting press releases and speeches following organizational news 
  • Writing letters, interdepartmental memos and other business correspondence 
  • Building relationships with media outlets and journalists

To be considered for this role, you must have the following:

  • A bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or other relevant field 
  • 8+ years of writing experience; external agency experience highly desirable 
  • Exceptional writing/ editing skills with a diverse portfolio of published work, both long-form and short-form; social media, creative marketing copy, product descriptions, corporate communications, and a mastery of grammar AP style 
  • Proven experience as a content writer, marketing writer, or corporate communications writer 
  • Strong project management experience coupled with proficiency in using project management and/or proofing platforms 
  • Proficient with the use of SEO practices for the purpose of optimizing web product descriptions, blog content, etc. to increase their search rankings 
  • Experience with leading/coaching a writing team 
  • Experience with a content management system (CMS) and marketing automation 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in English 
  • An analytical mind with a keen eye for details 
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Creative Cloud
