The Content Writing Specialist will be responsible for creating engaging, timely content to leverage in a variety communications, including email campaigns, digital and traditional marketing. The specialist will monitor consumer trends as inspiration for the content and continue to measure success (i.e. what content/messages resonate most), and will take a more active role in email communication to loyalty members. The Specialist will interact with other members in the marketing and sales team to aid in the day-to-day marketing of studio films, special programs, theatre concessions, food and beverage services and amenities.

The Content Writing Specialist will report directly to the Director of Marketing and Studio Relations.

Essential Functions/Job Duties:

  • Research content and consumer trends to ensure that content is relevant and interesting;
  • Develop content strategies to effectively reach the desired target audience and marketing objectives;
  • Create and manage a content calendar, ensuring that there is the ability to have consistent content across various marketing channels;
  • Draft relevant, consistent content for a variety of platforms, including emails, website, marketing materials, social media, video scripts and more;
  • Special emphasis and involvement in the development of email communication to loyalty members. This includes working with the creative team in the assembly of regular emails that promote and build interest in featured films and help drive incremental ticket purchases and engage members;
  • Proofread and edit content before it is live;
  • Perform other such duties as may be assigned by the Director of Marketing and Studio Relations

Job Requirements:

  • Exceptional writing skills and creativity;
  • Experience developing digital communications;
  • CRM, loyalty marketing, direct marketing and/or relationship marketing background is preferred;
  • Aptitude to learn and work with a CMS system and email editor to construct and produce content for effective digital communications;
  • Experience using email campaign management software such as Constant Contact, SilverPop, MailChimp or similar applications preferred;
  • Ability to effectively communicate and develop strong relationships with internal customers (dept. managers/executives, theatre staff, marketing team) and external customers (loyalty members, vendors, partners);
  • Willing and motivated to learn new skills, tasks, and software systems to meet changing industry demands;
  • Must be comfortable in a fluid and evolving organization; Good organizational, time management and planning skills with excellent attention to detail;
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, TEAMS);
  • Four to five (4-5) years of applicable experience required

Physical Requirements:

The employee is required to stand, and/or walk occasionally. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field required
