Job Summary:

As a Graphic Designer in a Rust-Oleum Temp role, you will work within a design team to create consumer packaging, point of purchase materials, and ecommerce assets for multiple product platforms. You'll work closely with the Graphic Design Manager, Marketing, and Sales to find unique and impactful design solutions that aid consumer decision-making and enhance brand awareness. This will involve understanding creative direction and customer goals to implement best design practices and to ensure timely delivery.

To be successful in this role you must be able to manage multiple types of projects and communicate effectively.

This role is located at Rust-Oleum’s corporate office.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate and take direction from the Graphic Design Manager and Marketing to effectively design consumer packaging, point-of-sale, ecommerce, and social media initiatives. 
  • Interpret written and verbal direction from all stakeholders to revise existing graphic design artwork using best practices.
  • Prepare files to meet publishing requirements for printing and social media channels. 
  • Support printing, mounting, and trimming functions for all corporate, marketing and sales events. 
  • Maintain project files and assets as defined in the creative services guidelines.

  • You are an effective communicator – an active listener that can respond in both verbal and written forms and disseminate critical information from customers.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Arts degree – Graphic Design 
  • 3-6 years of experience using graphic design techniques, tools, and principles to implement creative solutions for various corporate, marketing and sales materials. 
  • 2 years of experience preparing artwork for traditional and digital distribution.

Required Job Knowledge:

  • Expert-level experience using Adobe Creative Cloud for InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop in a Mac environment. 
  • Experience with multimedia software a plus. 
  • Knowledge and implementation of best practices to produce consumer packaging, merchandising displays, digital assets and corporate communication materials. 
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills and attention to details. 
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Ability to work overtime. 
  • Familiar with project management tools and time tracking. 
  • Exhibit understanding of the creative process and documentation and information sharing needs and protocols. 
  • Must be an active listener, a critical thinker and a problem solver. 
  • Strong communication skills through written and oral dialog. 
  • Possess customer service skills with a great attitude and a smile.
