Position Details

Copywriter II
Twin Cities Metro

Job Purpose/Role:

You will create memorable, inspired, and effective ideas for marketing pieces; then use the creative development process to bring those ideas to life in exciting and unique ways. You will need to present the concepts effectively and convincingly. You will need a understanding of our business, its products, and clients, to better help create great work that builds our brand, and aspires to award-worthy standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan writing, collaborating, video production, digital & social media content development
  • Research design, writing, and art for inspiration for ideas
  • Collaborate with art director partners
  • Present work
  • Ongoing learning in web writing, video writing, production, and post-production skills

Key Requirements/Skills:

  • 4+ years experience required: Creative agency experience as copywriter, with a portfolio of samples demonstrating strong conceptual thinking, memorable ideas, and effective writing.
  • Four-year degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience writing product, technical, advertising, and specialty copy for all audiences and media, including: print, radio, video, email, digital, and online channels.
  • 6+ years experience preferred: Conversant with CMS and MLA styles; with specific experience writing for financial services.
