The Copywriter conceptualizes, develops, and produces an overall strategic and creative approach to copy concepts and actual messaging that conveys and strengthens the company’s brand. Presents specific products and services conveyed through traditional, digital, and social marketing efforts. Duties include researching keywords, producing interesting written content, and proofreading work for accuracy and quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement process for reviewing overall marketing messaging. 
  • Research, write, edit, and review all levels of copy – headlines, taglines, body copy, etc., for marketing campaigns delivered through print or electronically through email, Internet, or other media. 
  • Collaborate with other associates to understand products, services, and concepts in order to convey key attributes through marketing. 
  • Work closely with graphic design and web design teams in development of marketing and advertising campaigns to reinforce and strengthen company’s brand. Uses search engine optimization strategies to write copy that helps boost a website’s search engine ranking. 
  • Write marketing collateral, including promotional materials and materials for conferences and seminars. 
  • Interview organization's customers to compile information for writing case studies and collaborate with graphic designers and outside vendors on direct mail and advertising text. 
  • Write and edit materials for organization's internal and external newsletters

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, advertising, marketing, English, writing, or another related field 
  • 5-7 years of related experience 
  • Experience producing copy for print and digital media channels 
  • Proven success in producing copy for advertising and marketing campaigns 
  • Exceptional skill in social media writing, including use of hashtags and relevant acronyms 
  • Experience with SEO concepts and social media marketing 
  • Creativity, adaptability, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team
