Crowe seeks a copywriter who can describe our myriad—and often complex—services in compelling, relatable ways. We’re looking for someone who has developed high-quality content aligned to branding requirements in a variety of formats and industries. He or she should be an agile, versatile creative professional who can produce great copy on deadline, taking a variety of input and shaping it into a concise message compliant with brand standards and voice. This individual should have experience that ranges from contributing to big ideas for marketing campaigns to writing ad copy. In addition, this role will involve working with the proofreading, creative, and publishing services teams within Crowe.

Responsibilities:

  • Incorporate the Crowe voice and brand across all marketing and sales communications touchpoints. 
  • Write and edit copy across the entire brand ecosystem, including but not limited to print brochures, webpages, emails, and sales presentations 
  • Keep up-to-date on industry trends, strategies, and techniques ensuring the firm stays at the forefront of content innovation
  • Participate in brainstorming exercises related to marketing themes and campaigns 
  • Effectively and convincingly prepare and present creative concepts and messaging recommendations to internal teams and BU/IV stakeholders 
  • Work closely with senior copywriter to coordinate assignments and set priorities 
  • Collaborate with design, publishing services, sales enablement and other internal teams on content creation 
  • Serve as a wellspring of ideas and inspire creative excellence in colleagues 
  • Work with clients, market managers and shared services to collaboratively solve content challenges. 
  • Research and translate existing and new information into client benefits and value propositions

Skill Sets Required include:

  • Ability to write in clear, compelling language, even when the subject matter is innately complex 
  • Able to adjust copy to fit specific medium 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to influence key individuals and teams internally 
  • onfidence and assertiveness; ability to build respect and credibility with colleagues and clients 
  • Aptitude in approaching topics from multiple creative angles 
  • Ability to keep ego in check and adjust to clients’ shifting needs and views 
  • Exemplary oral and written communication skills 
  • High-performing, high-energy self-starter, with proven ability to work both independently as well as a member of high performance-output teams in an extremely fast-paced, deadline driven environment 
  • Operate at hands-on, detailed level in addition to strategic thinking 
  • Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to multitask 
  • Experience working with various cross-functional business unit and industry teams and internal groups to deliver meaningful results on time with limited direction 
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately on different types of projects at the same time and effectively adapt to change 
  • Experience writing creatively while also complying with legal and regulatory standards and using a style guide, preferably Associated Press

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, English, or other writing-intensive field 
  • 5-7 years of professional experience in writing marketing copy, specifically: short-form (ad copy, taglines, etc.) and long-form content development (content marketing, thought leadership) - ideal but not required.
  • Exceptional and effective writing, editing, and message development skills that emphasize clear construction, grammar, and relevance 
  • Willingness to travel and work extended hours as needed 
  • Experience working on integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels 
  • Both agency and client-side experience 
  • Demonstrated excellence in performance, either in the form of industry awards or campaign metrics
