The Copywriter provides creative solutions to complex challenges through the written word. Collaborating with designers and strategists, the Copywriter delivers on-brand messaging that brings business results through a great audience experience. Top candidates love writing in a digitally driven marketing environment. Collegis copywriters are supportive motivators for the audience. They write compelling, concise copy that is authentic and spurs positive action.


  • Craft original concepts and execute copy based on established brand voice/tone and creative brief, and maintain editorial standards. 
  • Concept and collaborate on campaign ideas and digital tactics. 
  • Manage and prioritize timelines to meet deadlines. 
  • Tailor each message to the audience and channel, such as web (using SEO best practices), social media, display advertising, video, automated marketing as well as traditional marketing materials such as one-sheets, billboards and event materials. 
  • Work with designers and other copywriters to concept, write, present, and defend work while addressing client needs. 
  • Research and proactively pursue ideas for professional development, while seeking out creative mentorship, and inspiration. 
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of client business strategies and education regulations, and how these apply to effective written communications.


  • 3+ years of relevant writing experience; professional agency experience preferred. 
  • Portfolio showcasing digital writing experience. 
  • Strong script-writing skills in both short- and long-form content. 
  • Expert understanding of creative development, from reviewing briefs to executing deliverables. 
  • Ability to multi-task, juggle multiple projects, and meet tight deadlines while maintaining sharp attention to detail. 
  • Excellent conceptual skills with the ability to write in a wide variety of formats, mediums, tones and styles. 
  • Ability to synthesize extensive data and content into concise, eloquent, and compelling messaging that meets objectives. 
  • Ability to communicate professionally in both speaking and writing. 
  • Experience presenting ideas and rationale for concepts. 
  • Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, communication or a concentration in writing is required
