PURPOSE:

Provide concepts and writing for a variety of projects to support the design, development, and communications of collateral, presentations, and multi-media with a prioritized focus in direct response advertising.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage concept development and create specific messages that provide both quality and consistency through written or verbal communications. Work with manager to ensure concepts and copy meeting company standards with a focus on direct response marketing objectives 
  • Provide suggestions regarding copy writing innovations. Search, select and coordinate outside writing resources as projects dictate 
  • Assist in the management of effective and efficient processes for copy writing output, collateral development and integration of corporate and appropriate brand values and messages throughout all communication opportunities and mediums. Participate in reoccurring “ideation sessions” while offering new or improved ideas 
  • Present internal design agency with new performance-based concepts, capabilities, benefits, and innovations as requested. 
  • Review the effectiveness of all consumer marketing collateral on a regular basis. Identify opportunities to evolve and refresh brand content based on shifting trends. Adjust brand tone (not DNA) per aging demographic or as cultural considerations dictate 
  • This role will work with a wide array of internal clientele and partner with external partners, as well as provide direction or support as project needs determine.
  • Bachelor of Arts/Science in Communications or related field. 
  • 2-4 years’ experience with an advertising agency or in-house department preferred or equivalent demonstrated skills and experience. 
  • Understanding of the following copy writing styles: Lead Generation, Direct Response, "Color" copy, Conversion, Urgency and Inspiration, Educational Approach, 
  • Ability to collaborate; work independently with internal/external agencies to insure design agency readiness. 
  • Institute and maintain systems, software, process 
  • Provide clear and concise written and verbal instructions to project and production management
